CBCG and UNDP develop partnership focused on financial system modernization

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Central Bank (CBCG) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are developing a strong partnership focused on modernizing the financial system, strengthening institutional capacities, and supporting Montenegro’s European integration.
This was highlighted at a meeting between CBCG Governor Irena Radovic and UN Assistant Secretary-General and Director of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and Central Asia, Ivana Zivkovic.
The CBCG said in a press release that Radovic and Zivkovic discussed further strengthening their strategic partnership.
“The meeting confirmed that the CBCG and UNDP are developing a strong partnership aimed at modernizing the financial system, strengthening institutional capacities, and supporting Montenegro’s EU integration,” the press release said.
Particular attention was given to activities implemented through the FINSTEM project, which significantly contributes to the digital transformation of the CBCG and the modernization of Montenegro’s financial sector.
