Call worth €350,000 launched for the development of rural communities in Montenegro

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Civil society organizations and local initiatives contributing to the sustainable development of rural areas in Montenegro can apply until the end of May under a €350,000 public call for the development of rural communities.
Applicants may submit project proposals within the framework of the LEAD2Growth project – Initiative for Rural Development and Growth Based on Local Community Initiatives.
The Call is launched by the Network for Rural Development of Montenegro, in partnership with Cooperation for Development and the Local Democracy Agency, with the financial support of the European Union and co-funding from the Ministry of Regional-Investment Development and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations of Montenegro.
Through the Local Development Empowerment Fund, initiatives contributing to rural development, green innovation and environmental protection, social and community innovation, as well as digital, educational and cultural projects, will be supported.
Particular attention will be given to initiatives that include income generating activities within the community in line with the LEADER/CLLD approach.
The total budget of the call is €350,000, while individual grants range from €10,000 to €30,000 and may cover up to 100 percent of eligible costs. Project duration ranges from six to 12 months.
Applications may be submitted by civil society organizations registered and established in Montenegro, with at least 12 months of registration and an annual financial turnover not exceeding €60,000.
