Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Under the Single Market Programme, the European Commission has launched a call for project proposals aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in establishing sustainable tourism routes and developing supporting tourism ecosystems.
The Ministry of Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with NGOs stated in a press release that the application deadline is 20 May 2026.
The initiative “Support for Sustainable Competitiveness in Tourism” aims to strengthen tourism SMEs in their transition toward sustainable business models.
“The call will support both new and existing sustainable tourism routes, as well as the strengthening of tourism ecosystems developed around them. Such routes may be organized around a common theme or geographically connected locations,” the press release reads.
The call is open to consortia consisting of a minimum of five and a maximum of eight independent entities.
The estimated budget amounts to €6.9 million, with around five projects expected to be funded.
