Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Director of the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) Ivan Scekic has been elected as a member of the Foundation Board of the JAA Training Organisation (JAA TO), giving Montenegro a representative within the management structure of this European aviation authority.

CAA stated in a press release that this European recognition of the Agency’s work and the achievements of its director comes after the Coordination Committee of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) selected Scekic as a full member of the Foundation Board, of JAA TO, one of Europe’s most important organizations for training and professional development in civil aviation.

“This membership was announced at the meeting of Directors General of Civil Aviation Authorities of ECAC member states, held on May 19 in Marseille,” the press release reads.

Also newly elected was Director of the Albanian Civil Aviation Agency Maksim Ethemaj, while the board also includes senior representatives of the aviation authorities of Malta and Portugal.

Scekic is an aviation engineer with more than 15 years of professional experience in this field.
