Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – It was concluded at a business forum in Ljubljana that Slovenia is traditionally an important foreign trade partner of Montenegro, and improving cooperation between the two countries is possible in the fields of energy, overall infrastructure, trade, and environmental protection.
The event was organized as part of a two-day visit of a Montenegrin business delegation to Slovenia, led by the President of the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG), Nina Drakic.
Drakic highlighted the importance of cooperation between Montenegro and Slovenia.
“When it comes to bilateral cooperation, Slovenia is traditionally an important foreign trade partner of Montenegro. Last year, total trade in goods amounted to €91.5 million,” Drakic said, adding that the growth in exports by almost 19 percent is particularly encouraging, confirming a strong trend toward more balanced economic exchange and mutual market interest.
According to a press release from PKCG, she reminded that more than 150 companies with Slovenian capital are currently operating in Montenegro, including NLB Banka, Triglav Insurance, Petrol, Mercator, and many others.
