Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic has announced the restoration of a direct air route between Podgorica and Bratislava during the season.

“I believe this is an important incentive for strengthening connectivity between our two countries. It is also significant in terms of boosting tourism, welcoming numerous guests from Slovakia, enabling Montenegrin citizens to visit Slovakia, and enhancing economic cooperation,” Milatovic said at a press conference held with his Slovak counterpart, Peter Pellegrini.

He added that launching a direct route to Bratislava was essential for improving economic cooperation.

Speaking about economic reforms, Milatovic said that certain reforms in the areas of economic and social policy had led to a reduction in poverty.

Pellegrini said that the two countries maintained friendly relations and added that economic cooperation required additional efforts.

He noted that there was a great interest in Montenegro as a tourist destination in Slovakia.
