Podgorica, (MINA) - Botun residents, who have been protesting the construction of a wastewater treatment plant, will pause their protest until further notice, it was decided at a meeting of the residents of this Zeta settlement held on Wednesday evening.

One of the residents, Goran Kazic, told TV Vijesti that they want the police and the prosecution to find the perpetrator responsible for setting a construction machine on fire at the wastewater treatment plant construction site.

He also said that they doubt the fire was caused by one of the residents of Botun.

“We suspect that they did it themselves or that it caught fire on its own”, Kazic said.

He added that there might “be some surprises”, but also pointed out that the protest will most likely be paused for the next ten days.
