Podgorica, (MINA) – Chair of the Capital City Assembly Jelena Borovinic Bojovic resigned from the post on Tuesday. 

Borovinic Bojovic announced her decision at a press conference in the city parliament hall.

According to Vijesti, she said that “a new ruling majority situation has occurred” in the Assembly.

“The new situation was not formalized, no new agreements were reached”, said Borovinic Bojovic, adding that this led to actions in which party tactics affected the work of the parliament.

She expressed certainty that this democratic act would open up space for further clarification.

“Any outcome must be not only in line with the new situation, but also in the spirit of the electoral will of the citizens expressed in 2024”, Borovinic Bojovic pointed out.
