Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG), the growing trade exchange between Montenegro and Romania should be further encouraged, and this could be supported through the organization of conferences and business meetings where opportunities for connecting the two economies would be presented.
PKCG President Nina Drakic met with the head of the Romania–Montenegro Friendship Group, MP Paul-Claudiu Cotirlet, to discuss possibilities for enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.
Drakic presented the work of the oldest and largest business association in Montenegro and its role in representing the interests of the whole business sector, which includes close cooperation with both the Government and Parliament.
As stated by PKCG, she highlighted the Chamber’s strong engagement in the internationalization of its members’ businesses and its excellent cooperation with numerous international organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, which chairs the Association of Balkan Chambers.
It was concluded that Romania can provide Montenegro with know-how in implementing EU-funded projects, particularly in wastewater treatment and other waste management, as well as cooperation in the field of medical tourism.
