ASK: Scepanovic violated Law on Prevention of Corruption

ASK: Scepanovic violated Law on Prevention of Corruption

Podgorica, (MINA) - Constitutional Court judge Budimir Scepanovic violated the Law on Prevention of Corruption, by failing to exempt himself from the decision-making process on the fulfillment of the conditions for the termination of his judicial position.

This is stated in the decision published today by the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK).

It is stated in ASK’s decision that the Constitutional Court is obliged to prevent the execution of the decision made contrary to Article 10 paragraph 1 of the Law on Prevention of Corruption, in accordance with the law, and to notify the Agency thereof.

The Human Rights Action (HRA) filed a report against Scepanovic to ASK on December 26 last year.

This NGO stated that the report was filed because Scepanovic, at the session of the Constitutional Court on December 25, participated in reaching a decision on the termination of his own office.
