Asian market holds potential for Montenegro’s tourism

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – It was concluded at a meeting between Minister of Tourism, Simonida Kordic, and the Ambassador of the Philippines, Maria Elena Paolo Algabre, that the Asian market holds significant potential for the further development of Montenegro’s tourism.

 

They agreed there is mutual interest in intensifying cooperation in order to better position their tourism offerings, noting that there are numerous similarities in the way both countries treat tourism as an important segment of their overall economies. 

 

The meeting explored possibilities for establishing closer bilateral and multilateral cooperation in tourism, highlighting the importance of connecting the European and Asia-Pacific regions through joint initiatives. 

 

“Concrete modalities for improving cooperation in the field of tourism were also discussed, with a particular focus on the promotion of tourist destinations and the exchange of experiences and best practices,” the Ministry of Tourism said in a press release.

 

According to the Ministry, the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding between the two countries would be considered in the coming period.
