Bar, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Director of Port of Adria Sedat Kara, Bar is expected to welcome 128,000 cruise tourists this year, while the arrival of as many as 190,000 has been announced for next season.

Representatives of the Bar Tourist Board and the companies Port of Adria, Allegra Cruises, and Boka Adriatica concluded at a meeting held at the Cube Hotel that Bar records growth every year in the number of cruise ship arrivals and tourists visiting the town on one-day excursions.

Tourists arriving by cruise ships show the greatest interest in Old Bar, cultural and historical heritage, authentic gastronomy, and the natural beauty of the Municipality of Bar. 

It was concluded at the meeting that Bar has great potential to position itself as a recognizable and attractive cruise destination thanks to its spaciousness, hospitality, rich history, and favourable geographic location.

One of the challenges recognized at the meeting is the need to improve infrastructure, particularly regarding public toilets and additional amenities for guests staying in the city during the day.
