Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the nongovernmental organization Social Justice Action (ASP), a total of €15,600 has been paid as an arbitration fee to the International Court of Arbitration in Paris in a dispute related to the construction of the Smokovac–Matesevo motorway section with China Road and Bridge Corporation.

The NGO said in a press release that the amount was paid in December last year. 

“The arbitration fee was paid to the bank account of the International Chamber of Commerce, before which arbitration and mediation proceedings are conducted,” the press release reads.

The Chinese company was the main contractor on the first motorway section, which was officially opened in mid-2022.

Completion of that priority section was delayed by around three years and two months.
