Podgorica, (MINA) – The Court of Appeal has upheld the verdict of the Podgorica High Court, which found former state prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office (ODT) in Kotor, Srdja Jovanovic, found guilty of the crime of abuse of office and sentenced him to five months in prison.

The Court announced that it rejected as unfounded the appeals of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) and the accused Jovanovic.

The Court of Appeal, as they said, was of the opinion that the Podgorica High Court, by properly evaluating all the evidence presented, correctly concluded that Jovanovic, in his capacity as a public official, state prosecutor in the ODT in Kotor, committed the criminal offense he was charged with.
