All documents submitted to protect national interests

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Mozura Wind Farm (WF) offers significant energy benefits for Montenegro, said line minister Admir Sahmanovic, adding that the ministry he heads has submitted all necessary documents on the project to the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee in order to best protect national interests.

Speaking at a meeting of the parliamentary Inquiry Committee regarding the Mozura project, Sahmanovic said they had submitted all the documentation at their disposal.

“As for investigative actions, I am neither authorized nor competent to deal with those matters,” Sahmanovic said.

The Inquiry Committee continued its work today with the aim of gathering information and facts about the actions of state authorities and other entities during the construction of the wind farm at the Mozura site.

Sahmanovic said that at the time he assumed office as Minister of Energy, the Mozura wind farm project was already in the operational phase.

“In terms of obligations that the investor had under the contract during my tenure, there is the lease payment obligation, which is being regularly fulfilled in the amount of €186,060,” Sahmanovic said.
