Air routes to boost tourism between Montenegro and Slovakia

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – It was concluded at a meeting between Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordic and Slovak Ambassador Eva Ponomarenkova that air routes connecting Podgorica and Bratislava are expected to further boost tourism between Montenegro and Slovakia.

“The two officials agreed that, due to the current situation in the Middle East, tourist flows are likely to shift toward Europe, with Montenegro increasingly recognized as an attractive and competitive destination,” the Ministry of Tourism said in a press release.

They also concluded that bilateral relations between the two countries are strong, with significant room for further improvement, particularly in tourism and economic cooperation.

“There is mutual interest in strengthening economic ties, which would further enhance overall relations between the two countries,” the press release said.

Ponomarenkova congratulated Kordic her appointment as Chair of the UN Tourism Commission for Europe, a position supported by Slovakia.
