Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Representatives of One said the company is fully committed to and actively involved in integrating Montenegro into the European roaming market, which will remove communication barriers.
“Alongside the necessary amendments to laws and by-laws, which are currently underway and fall under the jurisdiction of institutions, we are carrying out technical preparations to ensure the smooth functioning of services based on the Roam Like at Home (RLAH) principle,” the company told Mina-business agency.
The Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP) had previously announced that Montenegro could become a member of the European roaming market by the end of this year or the beginning of next year, depending on the pace at which it meets the necessary prerequisites.
This will lower roaming prices and eliminate the common practice among most citizens of turning off mobile data when crossing borders in order to avoid unexpected costs.
One explained that, from a technical standpoint, this involves implementing and adapting relevant systems and processes, as well as conducting necessary technical checks and testing to ensure a stable and high-quality user experience.
