3,370 numbers ported in the first quarter

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP), 3,370 subscribers used the number portability service in the first three months, mostly in mobile telephony.
EKIP told Mina-business agency that 82 numbers were ported in the fixed network, and 3,290 in the mobile network during that period.
“In fixed telephony, 64 numbers were ported to M:tel, 12 to Telemach, five to Crnogorski Telekom, while one number was ported One Montenegro,” stated EKIP.
Most users left the fixed network of Crnogorski Telekom with 72 numbers, followed by M:tel with six, Telemach with three, and One Montenegro with one.
In the mobile telephony segment, of the total of 3,290 numbers ported in the first three months, nearly 1,400 were ported to M:tel, 1,050 to Crnogorski Telekom, and 846 to One.
“A total of 1,430 users left One mobile network, while the mobile networks operated by Crnogorski Telekom and M:tel lost 956 and 910 users respectively,” stated EKIP.
The number portability service has been available since 1 December 2011, and a total of 119,880 numbers have been ported so far, including 18,380 in fixed and 101,500 in mobile networks.
